Katelyn Pope is a young singer songwriter from the Metro Atlanta area living in Powder Springs, Georgia. She has been pursuing her love for music for several years now as a student, but began singing before she was talking. She has never been shy when she has an audience and loves every opportunity she has been given to perform. Katelyn has been taking vocal lessons, guitar lessons, and has been songwriting for a couple years now. She has a drive that most people of her age do not understand. She is very dedicated to her music. Locally, Katelyn has won a local Coffee Shop's version of American Idol, People's Choice for the Best of Cobb through JEM Entertainment and has played all over the area with GCGMA of which she is a member. She recently took home Female Vocalist of the Year, CD of the Year and Songwriter of the Year for GCGMA in her age bracket. This will now enable her to compete at the National level with NACMAI in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in March. Katelyn has already been to Nashville several times to record her original music. She has been fortunate to have the help of Robert Arthur, (studio guitarist for Brad Paisley), and used James Otto's band members for her last two recordings. Both of these have been amazing experiences for her. She is beginning to venture towards Nashville for their songwriter's rounds, hoping to show everyone what she has to offer. Having been contacted recently by a publicist, she knows her dreams will come true. Pen and paper always in hand, she realizes life is what songs are made up of!!!
